A brief description: This project started off as a proposal to the Kentwood design challange 2017. The objective of this installation piece was to show the use of hardwood flooring in a unique perspective. My team and I thought of something that would oppose the conventional feeling of warmth and coziness you would experience with the use of this material. Our goal was to use this material to cause an uneasy feeling and we opted for sharp angles in multiple directions. We were awarded joint second place, Mattamy builders choice award, and people’s choice award as well as a $3,000 cash prize.
